Easter weekend

libraries in Arran Elderslie will be closed Friday, April 22, Good Friday and Monday, April 25, Easter Monday.  They will be open on Saturday, April 23.

Thursday Night Movie

This Thursday our free movie will be "Departures" a film that has won 10 Japan Academy Prize awards.

Tara Library Book Sale

Tara's book sale will be June 18th this year.  If you have any gently used books you want to get rid of, feel free to bring them to the library anytime during open hours.  If you have books and no way to get them to the library, call us and we will arrange for someone to pick them up.  519-934-2626.

Scrabble Tournament

The Chesley Friends of the Library will be hosting a Scrabble Tournament on April 14 at 7:00 p.m.  This is being held in partnership with Bruce Grey Literacy and all proceeds from the evening will be going toward Literacy events.  You can register at the library or by calling 519-363-2239.  Cost is $25.00 per person.

Rice Krispie Squares

I  made Rice Krispie squares this weekend and packaged them to sell.  They are $1.00 each and all monies will go to Cdn. Red Cross - Japan fund.  I just felt the need to physically do something for the people in the affected areas in Japan.  Helplessness is not a feeling I enjoy.  If the RK squares go over well, I'll make some chocolate chip cookies.

Forest of Reading

I will be reading 10 books to 4 classes at the local school this week.  Am really looking forward to it.
